Someone ran a brush hog over the west Invista fields.  Already the cuttings are almost gone, but the tracks of the tractor remain in some places:

I remember the beach at Poole from my childhood, when I went there with my grandmother on summer visits.  One summer she rented a beach house, which I recall as a small wooden hut with sand on the floor, and a gas ring for making tea (naturally).  This summer we visited Helen and Richard, and walked the beach with our kids.  It was very windy, cloudy, and almost deserted.
