Spring is slowly tightening its grip on winter's neck, but greenery is still waiting for a clear field. This wall of the Cataraqui Center looks the same in any season. I see it every week or so when we go the library across the parking lot. Two women walked across my viewfinder while I was framing up, and they looked up at the wall. "It's a nice wall!" one called to me, and I felt a sudden gladness that she'd seen what I saw.

I was down on the lake ice with the boys on a recent sunny day, enjoying that strangely amusing feeling of looking at the shoreline from a place you can't usually walk to. Of course, you could get the same view from a boat, but then it's not so special. The ice has almost gone from our section of shoreline, but winter ain't over yet.

Front Road in front of Norman Rodgers Airport. I do like this stretch of road because it so suddenly comes to an end just out of the picture. It always seems odd to me that it continues past the airport in such fine style, as if it were actually going somewhere other then Lemoine Point.
